No Ordinary Fool started out life on 1 April 2008 as a site where I would write about alternative music and film. However, not even I am too sure what direction it is heading in now. So, beware children, it may take on different forms!
Whipping Boy:
Heartworm by Whipping Boy is the greatest Irish rock album ever. I hope that the band does not mind the liberally applied references to their superlative work in this site’s design. They are sorely missed.

Comments are not subject to prior moderation. However, with this freedom, there are a few things to bear in mind…
- As I review films, books, and theatre, I reserve the right to preface certain comments with a warning that they may contain possible spoilers. In any event, please think before you respond to any such posts. There will be readers who have yet to have the (mis)fortune to see or read the subject of the review!
- I also reserve the right to deal with comment-leavers that are spamming or flaming this site in any way that I see fit. This includes permanently blocking their IP addresses.
- I have no problems with the expression of strong and contrary opinions here (bring it on, in fact!). However, this site is not intended either to be an unadulterated forum for hate, bigotry, racism, or similar behaviour. Such comments shall be removed.

- I see little point in being asked to write about a band or album on the evidence of just one or two songs.
- I have no real interest in being a disseminator of press releases, but will accept them being emailed to me. Just ask beforehand! It is the professional thing to do and just takes a couple of minutes of your time.
- Upon request, any music files that you ever send me shall be permanently deleted.
